Tim Mundy, Owner/President | | Since establishing My Lawn in 1979, Tim Mundy has taken his company from a small part-time operation to a leader in the green industry in the Dayton and surrounding areas. Upon graduating from Shawnee High School in Springfield, Ohio and obtaining a degree in Respiratory Therapy from Sinclair Community College, Tim chose to follow in his family’s footsteps and go into business for himself. Raised by Mary and Ed Mundy, Tim learned early on the importance of hard work. Mary was a home maker taking care of three boys and Ed was the Plant Manager for International Harvester running an electric business on nights and weekends. Tim often helped his dad wire houses and also helped out at his Uncle Gar’s grocery store, Mundy’s Market. It was while attending college that Tim started doing landscape work in the Kettering and Oakwood areas under "Mundy's Lawn & Exteriors". To further his education, Tim enrolled in a business program at Sinclair that allowed him to co-op at Leisure Lawn. It was there that he gained first hand knowledge of the green industry and business operation. Taking his landscape business full-time, Tim began using the slogan, "I'll make you proud to say that's My Lawn" thus changing the name of the company to My Lawn. Today, My Lawn has two locations and employs approximately 40 people. Tim credits his family for his strong work ethic and drive for success, southern values that he hopes to instill in his daughters, Taylor and Tristen. | Ed Blair, Landscape General Manager, Operations & Sales | | With 22 years of experience at My Lawn, Ed Blair has made a life for himself within the green industry. His athletic ability enabled him to achieve Varsity status in his sophomore year and won him a baseball scholarship at Sinclair Community College. The team won back-to-back championships and again in his sophomore year, Ed was given another scholarship playing baseball for South Carolina. Family illness brought Ed back to Dayton and he spent the next two years working for Horticulture Management. Ed began his career with My Lawn as a member of an installation crew. His hard work, dedication, and desire for industry knowledge have enabled him to move up in the ranks and into management. Ed is a Certified Nursery Technician through the ONLA and also has certification in Landscape Irrigation Design, Landscape Lighting, and Interlocking Concrete Pavement Systems. | Shana Pierson, Landscape Design & Sales Manager | | After graduating from Lebanon High School, Shana Pierson began working in the green industry.
